... people don't cook at home - there is such a variety of prepared food that is conveniently ready to be packaged up and taken home. However, I wonder if people mistakenly think that organic food is intrinsically healthy - if you read the ingredient labels on many of the processed products they are still loaded with sugar, wheat and dairy. Food for thought.
I'm going to stop here and the rest of our time with the in-laws will comprise the next blog.
Today we say goodbye to New Braunfels, Texas. We have really enjoyed the Hill country so it is with mixed feelings that we leave. We were able to spend quite a bit of time with family and friends and we saw sights in the area. It was a very quiet campground and a pretty area. So we moved on with mixed feelings.
We decided we would take Texas "Farm to Market" roads to the new campground ...

... talking to my seatmate, an older American, about my trip and he seemed to be seriously considering moving to Panama and buying a boat. My layover in Houston was only about an hour and a half and I had to go from one wing of the airport, retrieve my bag, go through customs, check my bag and make it to the other wing before my flight took off. ... Hotel is beautiful. After a quick shower I poured myself a drink and met Drew in the lobby to try and find our group. We found our professors and were told that 7 am we were to meet for breakfast and to not do anything to embarrass the university. I did fairly well at that other than wandering into the women's restroom by mistake, it was the door on the left, I am used to the men's room being on the left and women's room on the right but I guess they don't do that ...
