Everyone on contiki had a rather heavy night the night before so the long bus journey we had today was going to be interesting. I woke up hating life with a spinning head and feeling rather delicate. Had some brekky & felt better but still could have done with staying in bed. Then it was on the way to Charleston. We got there and picked up Lynda our tour guide. She got on our bus and we drove round Charleston & it's the prettiest place so far in America ...
... in handy, especially on nights like this)!
This morning we wandered a few steps over the sand dune and down to the beach. Dolphins glided by, crabs scampered about, kids frolicked in the surf, and a slightly overweight pasty white couple waded into the ocean in their underwear…not quite the Norman Rockwell painting, but close enough for us. After packing up, we took a much needed and enjoyed cool shower before hitting the road again.

So thankful for this amazing & beautiful 8200 mile trip without any serious problems!
Our little TAB thor camper was the talk of the trip - bringing us to meet many interesting & friendly folks wherever we stopped - even stopping at a red light, a conversation might get going!

- Multiple first-aid kits!! If you lose one, what.....you're S.O.L?
- Not only did I place an index card in each bag with emergency contacts, addresses, embassy information, etc. but this time around I wrote Bali, Australia, Africa, and the United State's embassy information on the inside of my waist pack. Hopefully, that will never be necessary but better to be prepared for disaster....

... planned to go to the State/Miami game at noon but there was still so much to do that we decided to skip that. We went out on errands again Saturday morning and then got back to the coach in time for the game. Homemade pimento cheese sandwiches and hot tomato soup was the menu for lunch.
