      We started the day early, about 9:00 not knowing that the activities didn't start until noon. We stopped and wandered through the courthouse and jail. Interesting history. Had some coffee. Walked around into the Fiesta del Reyes courtyard and then had lunch at Bara Bara.       ... diner, and walked to the beach. Very nice little town. Which it could be seen it used to be a 'sleeper town' which had just been awoken over the last half decade or so.

      After a nice scouting, I returned to the highway ( 2:00pm ish ) to hitchhike my way too San Diego.

      My back was killing me !!! My pack had grown exponentially over the last week.

      Anyways. Off to San Diego I hoped! Better luck than last ...

      ... timetable for shows, we had 15 minutes to make it to the Shamu (killer whale) show. It was at the beginning of this show that Greg and I were introduced to how supportive of the U.S Military when the MC asked that all past and present U.S Military members and military members of the U.S's allied forces all stand. We of course stood thinking that they may play the national anthem. No, we were all applauded! Along with others in the crowd saying 'Thank-you'.
