... at the Huka Falls and what we were most surprised about was the colour of the water. It was a lush blue colour and now we know why they are famous. The Huka (meaning foam) Falls are situated on the Waikato River, two kilometres north of Lake Taupo. The falls are eleven metres/35 feet high and what appears to have been a blasted out channel is completely natural and actually formed by an earthquake.

At 616 square kilometres, Taupo is the largest freshwater lake ...

... as I put my washing power in the dryer as I thought it was a washing machine, oops! Don't tell anyone though, I don't want to be 'dick of the day' which is basically a stupid rule Guy has made up - every time someone says or does something stupid it gets written in his book and then who ever gets voted as being the ************ has to wear a massive high vis jacket everywhere we go that day! The other rule of the bus is if you're late back then you get handcuffed to yourself ...

... I had a gluten-free pizza with feta, aubergine and courgette; the base was good for gluten-free and the tomato sauce was very flavourful. The only shame was that the base wasn't made on site, however it was made fresh in a local store, as were all the other ingredients as listed on the back of the menu. There was a $5 extra charge for gf, but we both left feeling satisfied so it was worth ...

I had a GREAT week last week in Whitianga, holy smokes! As mentioned before, the house was beautiful, the people were lovely, all around, awesome.

As many of you may already know, I had a very exciting fishing expedition last Thursday! Here we were, shoveling sheep poop (which they actually call "sheep ****" as a technical term, but I've decided to keep my parental guidance ratings low and use poop instead :)) into bags at this guys farm to take back to the garden ...
