... morning. The guy at our motel sorted it with the hire company. Car feels much safer now! Huka falls was as I remembered it so force full. I went on the jet boat ride to the bottom of the falls weaving in and out near the banks and doing 360 turns. It was exhilarating . ... the time came, we rolled up the door, took our exit photo then I jumped first before Scott. The entire free fall was actually pretty uncomfortable- my ears felt the pressure even through the bandana and helmet! I though they were going to explode! Journey To Mount Doom

... mountains, and past mount doom. It was a perfect warm and clear day and we had a perfect trek with stunning views including the infamous crater lakes.
It was a good decision to park the car at the end as most people had to wait for a bus. Once we had finished we were able to leave straight away.
It's an amazing day walk and highly recommended.
Taupo is a great place to visit and one of my favourites in the North Island.
