... up our “airport shuttle rental car.” The best way to get to DIA from downtown, is renting a car at Avis for four hours, returning it to the airport location and taking their shuttle to the terminal. We paid $13.99 for the rental, a deal.

Instead of hightailing it out of Kansas, we stopped at the Prairie Museum in Colby, and it was great. In addition to the kids being able to ride the vintage coin-operated horse, we were able to go into the late 19th century sod house and touch the household items like a very heavy iron and the waffle iron, and the one-room schoolhouse where teacher Sophie gave a lesson.

Left Hotel at 5 this morning to get early flight to Denver so we could connect then to Sacremento.

Arrived in Denver to a snow storm - was amazing to see so much of it but boy we were soon awake when we had to leave the plane. Didnt have to walk outside to find out how bloody cold it was.

The best part of the expedition was that we weren't having to drive or navigate! We've called it an expedition because the weather turned into a snow storm.
