... for poor visibility we were ducking in and out of the channel to avoid Navy traffic.

During the trip down anything that wasn't fastened down below ended up on the floor in the salon. Left Annapolis at 2 Monday and arrived at Top Rack Marina at about 2 this afternoon. Rewarded ourselves with a great dinner out at the Amber Lantern Restaurant. Early to bed. Up at 5:30 tomorrow to get underway at first light.

Disappointing Virginia Beach!

... the next day!

We took a walk along part of the 3 mile boardwalk in Virginia Beach - what a disappointment! I read somewhere it's been named one of Top 10 Boardwalks so we were looking forward to it. It's nothing more than a bare, wide, concrete, ( yes concrete, not a board insight) highway with 1970's style boring hotels fronting it. ... and suddenly my purse appeared! It was a miracle! I was overwhelmed with joy! And of course bought Dipan dinner to return the favor.

After yummy Outback, we hung out by the river for awhile watching the sunset and Joel taught me a little about the boats (He works in the shipyard). We talked for awhile but when it got dark we had to head home :/ Me and joe said our goodbyes and road tripped back up north.

I can't wait to see all everybody again in Dec!
