Brisbane, Noosa, Rainbow Beach and Fraser!

... I spent most of my 3 days there at the beach which was so gorgeous! Both days I stayed there to watch the sunset which was just so cool. On Tuesday morning I went for a walk in the National Park, it was stunning! AND I saw my first Koala!!! Would never of spotted it snoozing in the tree but luckily a lady pointed it out! The photos really don't do these beautiful places justice!! I soooo want you all to come and ...

Roadtrip

On april 25th we decided to have a roadtrip in a hire car with a few of our mates. We went to the central coast to kevs work mate frank's house. We had a great day as it was really sunny and frank and his family had prepared a huge spread of food for us. We are now half way through our travels and only have 1 month left in australia. Cant beleive how quick the time has past. Looking forward to the next 6 months travelling.

... was a nice place, but its in a farm basically with a dirt road with potholes and ditches for about 200 metres to the hostel. The first day i got there it had been raining hard and i almost got bogged in a ditch, the road had been like that for about 3 years and halfway through my stay they fixed it up which was good. the township of Nimbin is very small, basically one main street. I made friends with a 46 year old man from Norway called Helge who was ...

... don't; whether you arrive at your destination or whether you reach somewhere else, or whether you never get anywhere at all, you're always busy, and you never do anything in particular. -- Kenneth Grahame I would only substitute the word boats for my travels with the world as my playground. It really doesn't matter where I go or where I get. Sometimes, I really don't need to reach anywhere else as long as I am happy with ...

There's a shark in the water!

... of her "teeth" but I got to see a turtle and loads of coral and a sting ray and a flamenco dancer fish......it was a very cool experience once you got used to the salty water and let your ears pop. Then we got a LONG bus journey to Airley Beach. We loved it here. Gorgeous apartment, cute little town, lovely beaches and a fabulous lagoon right in the middle of the town. We could have ...

Palm Beach/Summer Bay!

... for a swim. Most of Palm beach was actually closed because of dangerous surf and there was only about 10m wide stretch you could actually swim in. It looked pretty funny because everyone was congregated here and the rest of the beach was pretty much deserted! Got my first sunburn despite my factor 40! Idiot that I am changed my top just as we were leaving so i have a nice big red strip at the bottom of my back and criss cross marks at the top!

Just arrived in Ush-vegas

The saildown is over, the ship is set up, the Zodiacs are built and we're in port overnight awaiting passengers tomorrow. But first here are some thoughts on what went on before I joined the ship in Montevideo. God South America is a long way away, 13 looong hours flying! And to add insult to injury I lost the exit row seat that I had obtained at 4am when I checked-in in Brisbane for my Sydney to Santiago flight ...

YAY LIFE!

Just a little update about my life! School is winding down, I have 3 finals next week. I'm finished on June 7th. That's pretty exciting as I have more time to explore this city! I'm really happy that I have the time to take my time and soak it in before I leave. I've been keeping a list of things to do to make sure I get everything in. As for cultural-ish things that I've been doing - Let's start with the races. A few Saturdays ago we all ...

... of many a pitiful look when I tell people I paid 30 bucks to go and walk in the footsteps of Harold. 14.Speaking of Harold, the Salvation Amry is legendary here! (But you have to call them the Salvos.) They all look like Harold and play the trumpet and stuff at Xmas and come in pubs collecting. They are Da Bomb. OK, this is a bit of a work in progress to be added to as time goes by. Or maybe there'll be a part 2 - good God, anyone would think I'm making this up as I go along!
