When travelling it is important to try and understand the culture of the country you are visiting. This means getting away from the major tourist towns and spending some time in a regular suburban area, a town or a small village. A very good friend let us housesit for her and explore Davison, Michigan. Chain Restaurants, Walmart, McDonalds ...
... I was delighted that the rural terrain was pancake flat and hoped the horizontal surface would lessen the impact of tingling numbness in my left arm.

Love to all

We slept outside of a library last night, which was just as nice and quiet as it would have been sleeping IN the library. It cooled down perfectly so that we only had to run the fan and keep a couple of windows open. We've used the down comforter all week, which is so strange in July, but I’ll take it…I’d always rather it be cooler outside than hot any day.
