... Xmas by this time which was really lucky. After a quick stop for coffee we went out to explore City Walk. This was a bit of a let down. A lot of cheesy stores selling junk and trinkets. I tried Taco Bell which was exciting. Really digging the food in America big servings and lots of quality. We then trekked back to the hotel and I started writing these entries. Slept soundly tonight knowing we had another day to explore. :-)

It was nice to come here and chill out, to ...

... Jamaican Bay Inn, was in Marina Del Rey ( the biggest private marina in the US apparently) which wasn't too far from the airport so we were soon there and checked in. Weary from the travelling and the jetlag we had some happy hour snacks in the hotel restuarant (an eclectic mix of lovely fish taco's, humous with pita bread, calamaries, spare ribs and sashimi) and retired early to ...

... pier around 4 and headed via bus to the la brea tar pits and the lights at the Los Angeles museum to take a few pics. Back at the hostel we did some washing before heading out to Ihop to rid me of my Ihop virginity. It was well and truly taken as I accidently ordered the big portion of pancakes by forgetting to mention I wanted a small serving!! Non the less they were great! We are now back at the hostel and I'm about to head to bed for some much needed ...
