    Day 70

Couldn't resist the Lord Tennyson quote (altered for my benefit).

Destination today is Barstow, CA via Death Valley, NV.

Whilst the ride yesterday was reasonably tiring today's was a bit epic - ~ 380 miles ~ 8 hours.

and - it just got hotter and hotter ! ~ 103f.

Of Special note is that Tonight marks my last night on Route 66. Wow. What an Adventure I'm having. ...

Barstow is a small town, there is a section where it is ol skool Americana. Kinda like the older side of Vegas, some motels still have signage ...

Our return trip took about three hours in rush hour traffic which we didn't think was too bad.

... comfort, speed, and handling, it's defiantly a step up from my 1.6 back home. We arrived at our LA hotel and checked in, as it was Saturday night we had already agreed that we had to hit the clubs so as before we had even unpacked we showered, threw on some fresh garms and ordered a taxi to take us to sunset boulevard. We got the taxi to drop us off at the east end of sunset blvd with the intention of walking back west crawling whichever bars/clubs took our fancy. ...
