However, there's enough there to occupy you for a few days and it represents a good opportunity to learn about the local history, see some interesting attractions and sample the local food and night-life, making it a worthwhile place to stop over if you're down south.

    ... the states...delicious. We drove approximately 150 miles to Baton Rouge to where we are staying tonight on our way to New Orleans. We first crossed the bridge ( the bridge we saw from our motel in Mississippi ) over to Louisiana. We did not want to retrace the same route as yesterday as we needed to travel via Natchez.
