... mostly with cranberry in them, but some just chocolate. The fun part is that it is like a mini Costco with just desserts! The whole store is full of samples! Yum and more yum. Of course after sampling, we had to take some home (or at least to the car) with us. We also found some Ollallieberry wine. I remember this from 45 years ago in Solvang, CA. I was very excited and of course some of the wine had to follow us home.
... reading about towns as we whiz through them only to turn back at the last minute is both frustrating and really slowing our progress.
So with a hotel day already booked we packed up our tent and said farewell to Crescent city. The plan of action is to get to Golds Beach early, check into our hotel and do some serious planning. Well at least that was the plan until we were stifled by the hotel Nazi who oversees check-ins at the Pacific Reef ...
... whether it is about the US, UK or The Middle East. There is good and bad everywhere. If you want the truth, get out there.
The country and the people have made a real impression on us, and isn't that what it is all about?
I hope we have not left any impression on your countryside itself but I know we have made some new friends.

... at $21.95 (because that is soooooo much more reasonable than $22). Please do not misunderstand me, it looked like a very nice buffet with quite an extensive variety of tasty items and extremely welcoming staff - I have just seen too many buffets (some people call me spoiled, picky and difficult to please). Then, I turned around and saw the local seafood station - oysters on the half shell, smoked mussels, smoked salmon, tuna, crab claws, shrimp, ...
... in Gold Beach is really cute with a really lovely view of the Oregon coast (which has been really beautiful so far). The girl who was working at the front desk was so nice and I had a chat with her but got carried away and forgot to get our keys for the room so I had to go back - awkward! Once in the room we found a massive grasshopper on the wall but I managed to remove it with an ice bucket. fun times!
