An old motel that has been done up. No breakfast offered and restaurant next door not open for breakfast despite website for it giving breakfast menu. Drive to Java Joe's for a hot, well priced breakfast. Don't bother to pay extra for room with view - obstructed by buildings and trees.

... I feel at home. Jonathan bought tickets for the fast jet boat and we headed to Mackinac where we found a pasty shop immediately. I couldn't believe it - in the shop was a book that was for sale and it was written by Hetty who sold pasties in my village, Porthleven. I think her shop was called "Ann and Hetty's Pasty Shop" and you could watch her and Ann make the pasties. You can still watch the pasties being made today. That was ...

We had commentary and went through the the forests then stopped at arch point for photos. We then continued stopping off at various points. We got off at the fort and walked the rest of ...

Left around ten am after breakfast. No one in breakfast room. Until another couple came in were in our own. Drove over to Travers City as recommended by Andrew. Had a couple of hours there. It is by the lake and beautiful. Just had a coffee there still full from breakfast. Had a walk over the road and down by the lake took some photos. Then we headed out of Travers City. We had over one Hundred miles to do to St Ignace where we are ...

Its a beautiful 80 degrees! We're tempted to take one last cruise through the islands. But alas, our time is up for this season. Meander has been cleaned, unloaded, and is ready for a long winter's nap. Diane and Jeffrey have arrived to take us home, so off we go rolling down I-75.

We had a nice cruise covering 662 miles while visiting three Great Lakes. We spent ...

... think they have stopped baking it. That is OK because if I eat too many muffins I will really have a muffin top!The other two lakes are Huron and Michigan. It is difficult to see any difference. They all just look like big lakes.... The Mackinac Bridge connects Michigan's Upper and Lower Peninsulas at the straits between Lake Huron and Lake Michigan. Interesting to think about the importance of this waterway in delivering food and goods to the ...
