Temporary home - waiting for builder to finish ours

    from

The Atlantic Sands proved to be an absolute delight for us between homes; we had sold one and the new one not yet available, and we were able to become residents at the Atlantic Sands on Hollywood Beach for 5 months. It was extremely convenient - good restaurants nearby ----and just steps to the Atlantic Ocean. I would recommend it highly for family reunions (they have numerous separate apartments), or just a great vacation get-away.

    Loved the Atlantic Sands.

    from

The Atlantic Sands was a wonderful experience! I stayed there approx 6 months and loved every minute of it. The beach was just a few steps away, the restaurants had whatever type of food you could wish for.

It was great walking or bicycling on the broadwalk with the fresh smell of the ocean.

The units are so fresh and Floridian with all the comforts of home.

It was by far one of my best experiences of the year!

    As relaxing as it gets!

    from

The Atlantic Sands is a quaint family run property, that pays mind to the little details. If there is anything you should want for, it is only a question away. The location is excellent- close to the beach, but far from the hassles.

    Home Away from Home

    from

The Atlantic Sands of Hollywood Beach, FL, is small family-run motel located just steps away from the beach. After one visit, guests feel like a part of the family! Location ... friendliness ... and value. What a terrific combination!

Guests are welcomed to lovely suites - fully furnished apartments complete with a full kitchen and large living room. The rooms are very clean, comfortable, and cute.

The motel is located in a quiet beachfront area, yet it is less than hour to the glamour and excitement of South Beach, Palm Beach, or Fort Lauderdale!

We would give the Atlantc Sands the highest rating. Indeed we cannot wait to return. After one visit, it feels like our home away from home.

    What Service!

    from

My stay at the Atlantic Sands Resort was wonderful!

The suites have the feeling of home- clean, comfortable and casual.

The service was the best ever. I felt that the staff took a great deal of pride in their work and have for generations.

Atlantic Sands is located within walking distance to the beach and many other attractions. You don't have to walk far to find soft ice cream, or some great pizza served by the ocean breeze. It's a wonderful spot for the family and for those who want to explore the night life, it's only about an hour away from South Beach and Miami.

I would love to stay at the Atlantic Sands Resort again and I recommend it highly to others.

    SO-O-O Relaxing!!

    from

Last month, my husband and I were at the Atlantic Sands Resort for a week. It not only was very, very comfortable lodging, but the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful in directing us to various places of interest. The suite we had was well equipped for all our needs. Immediate access to a laundry facility also made it very easy to clean our clothes without having to get "dressed" to go to some other location to get it done. Located only one block from the beach, it was pleasant not to have constant activity right outside our door, yet being close enough to get to the beach, restaurants, and shopping area without any difficulty. Anyone looking for a pleasant, relaxing and reasonably priced place to stay in or near Hollywood, FL should try the Atlantic Sands Resort

    Fantastic beach hide-away

    from

This little resort is wonderful! Its just 50 feet from the beach, in the heart of Hollywood Florida. The owners are fabulous people and very nice. The rooms are large and airy, with all the accommodations of home. Very clean and close to many attractions.

Weddings at Atlantic Sands are incredible!

    from

I had my wedding at the Atlantic Sands in Hollywood Beach, Florida. I had family members staying at the hotel as well. It was a wonderful experience for all who attended. The rooms were spacious and very well kept. It was extremely clean and the owners/operators were fabulous. They were very helpful and courteous. I would highly recommend having any event at the Atlantic Sands. Even if someone just wants to hang out at the beach and relax, this hotel is wonderful. It is a perfect place to enjoy Hollywood Beach in Florida!

    The perfect Beach Spot

    from

My stay at the Atlantic Sands was absolutly perfect. The motel was very clean, everything had been renovated. The location is exellent, close to the best resturants on Hollywood Beach. As I sat in the courtyard in the evening, the breeze was blowing, I could see the ocean & hear the waves. My room was fully equiped with T>V and plenty of towels.

The hospitality was marvelous. A true GEM of the beach.

... boardwalk along the beach. It was so beautiful, the water was still, the sun was orange and warm. I stopped a few times to enjoy the moment. I got back to the room and we decided to go to South Beach for breakfast and a bit of shopping. We were supposed to go the newsstand cafe diner but the cab driver had no idea where that was so we went to Jerry's diner instead. It was niccccceeee. I had a bacon and avocado omelette with a bagel and cream cheese. When we left a woman was ...

Proximity to New York and Portugal: I know people will come to visit me no matter where I end up but Miami just makes it easier for my peeps. Everyday hundreds of flights leave NY to Miami (Kayak seach shows 685 flights leaving tomorrow 2/18/14). Miami is one of TAP’s (Trans Air ...

... a walk on the trail around the park and I stretched and did some exercises to wind down a bit. Our lunch was a good one, so I didn't eat any supper. The huge "Thick as a Brick" corned beef and cheese on light rye sandwich held on very well. Lynn had some clam chowder, while Rich had a Cuban sandwich. Lisa, the healthy one, had an interesting salad consisting of several wholesome items, which I have chosen to forget.

... World's many treats and charms - food obviously excepted - I didn't think their scary grown up rides were all that great. And we did them all (splash mountain 3 times!!!). From a purely adult rides perspective I still prefer Dreamworld. But neither Disney, Dreamworld or, for that matter, the launch simulator at Kennedy, can compare to the speed boat tour Coops and I did around Miami today. This company does tours with mini speed boats ...

In reality, we should have done this day on Tuesday, instead of the Hugh Taylor Birch Park..We would have had more time to enjoy the place had we done so, but we wouldn't have seen the turtle laying her eggs, so we don't regret our planning. The Anna Kolb Nature Center in West Lake Park provides a nice overview of the mangrove eco-system in Florida. The nature center was named for the late County Commissioner Anne Kolb,  who in 1974 had become the first ...
