Can't believe how early we had to get up this morning - 3:30am NZ time (which is 1:30am Aus time) to get to the airport.
But it was all good. Watched the Twilight movie on the plane on the way home and now i cant wait to see New Moon!

Coming through customs in Australia was funny as i had to go in the high security line due to my Maouri souviner that i brough back with me that is classified as a weapon. I was just glad that Border Security wasnt there to film me haha.

Biking Beechworth

... with my Aunt further down the road starting to pull off all her layers.

The ride took us through farmland which wasn't quite so interesting to look at but Erin eventually caught us up, having taken a wrong turn three times ;) As we turned into the midway check point the rest of the group were just getting ready to leave so in the end it was just Erin and I taking a short rest. We decided to take our time but get started on riding without a long break - I was ...

... police occured.

We then spent a few hours at Beechworth, an historic little town which still has an operating telegraph station. We went on a scenic drive along the gorge (which was quite narrow with our big bus!)

After we headed down to the town of Bright and then into Mount Beauty, stopping at the overlooks of the town.

Beechworth

We arrived at Beechworth only half an hour away from Wanganderry. As we arrived in Beechworth,we found a caravan park.We took it and started putting up the caravan. While mum and dad were taking up the caravan,Marc and I were riding our bikes to the park and throwing the frisbee. Now today was actually the first day we'd been in a caravan park. For dinner mum went looking for a shopping centre. When mum came back she had bought our dinner and some salad. We ...

There's no such thing as a coincidence

Alpines and Armour!

... which escapes me, they clad themselves with self made armour, down to their waist (self made meaning buckets and stuff!) and confronted the armed police with guns. Predictably, Ned Kelly (the most infamous Kelly) was shot in the leg (as this was the only bit the armour didnt cover!) and was hung soon after, with his last words being the now infamous phrase "such is life". Please not this is interpretation of events and probably completely contradictory to the true one ...

On The Piste

... to rights over a few bottles of VB or a tasty box of goon (suck that goon down Matty Matty). We were also regulars at the local pub quiz where occassionally (ie once) we came third, but most weeks we failed miserably and ranked about 2nd to last. It was the sports round that killed us, not knowing the names of every AFL player that has ever done anything interesting really held us back. Not that i'm bitter. The annual "Hookers & Deviants" ball was one we couldnt resist and while most of ...

The girl is back in town

... Third World effects on my observations and attitudes! Mum and I have been driving out and about the country, going to places with great names that are incomphrehensible to foreigners: Daddah Daddah Creek, Wangaratta, Yarrawonga. Bendigo, Benalla and Wagga Wagga are beckoning. In the meantime, the surf is becoming a priority so it is off to the big smoke of Sydney. How am I going to cope with so many people? Moreover, so many English rugby fans who will be gloating ...
