... I stick to the saying 'life is meant for living' and so I'm getting out there and living it! I had a close family member pass away this week and it just reinforces just how precious life is. She was the most incredibly courageous and positive person (she battled cancer for over 8yrs). She was THE definition of inspirational.

This trip will be a reminder for me to stop sweating the small stuff and start living life to the MAX!

Brisbane, Queensland, Australia dinziez... there presence..before we got scared and ran away. We also discovered the BEST cappuchino in the entire world at 'Jimmy's'. Its pretty anti-backpacker due to the large price but it was totally worth it.
So, on to the best part of brisbane, the part that has reserved the entire title of brisbane. KOALAS AND KANGEROOSS.
We went to this wildlife concervation park (which taylor swift has visited - (that was for annie-induced-jealousy) for (can ...
Brisbane, Queensland, Australia jokatie... a lake from the other. I've never seen anything like it before and we took lots of pictures. Also it began to rain and as we stood in the middle of the plain behind us the sky was blue and sunny and in front of us going cloudy and grey, but with a rainbow coming through the clouds. How ironic.
We headed to Tin Can Bay for the night, but struggled to find somewhere to stay for free so parked up just outside of town, a deserted tourist information centre. All there ...
Brisbane, Queensland, Australia danandkateWe left the comfortable and somewhat luxurious setting of Gunnebah and traded it for the chaotic nexus of squat living. This crazy collective known as "the forest" is filled with a cast of interesting youngsters, some stay only for a few days, some stay for weeks, others months. They didn't seem to mind the crumbling facade or the black mold that coated the exterior. The strange and sometimes putrid smells that wafted from many of the couches were taken in stride ...

Brisbane, Queensland, Australia senorbrian... and stowed away safely it was full steam ahead to our next port of call in Cairns, two days away. Although we had eaten very well at lunchtime we decide to visit the bistro and have a light snack before heading out to the theatre to be entertained by a Comedian, Don Ware, whom we had previously seen when we were on Tahitian Princess in 2006, telling almost the same jokes, which still seemed very funny.
Brisbane, Queensland, Australia nickelaineYesterday Barack Obama was sworn in as the 44th President of the United States of America. I had been waiting for that moment for eight long years, after I watched George W. steal the 2000 election from Al Gore and continue to try to take away my freedoms and make the world my enemy. I couldn't believe that my fellow citizens would be stupid enough to re-elect him, but somehow he did it. Granted, John Kerry wasn't the strongest candidate ever, but for me, he still would have ...
