    ... through the area of Newtown where Chris stayed back in 2005. Then out into the country. Lots of woods by the railway line with trees that have green, lots of yellow, a few orange and occasional red leaves. Really pretty. Also passed a number of small towns.     Six and 1/2 hour drive...not too bad. we stayed on the American side which is a state park. Lots of walking but we hopped a trolley cuz we got totally lost. Beautiful grounds but lots of construction going on. We were able to get real close to the falls from this side. Canadian side is more manicured and has lots of shops and restaurants. There were fireworks right outside our bedroom window that looked like they were coming right at us. ...
