We left the Courtyard Marriott, caught the metro one stop to Union Station. Checked the luggage in for our Amtrak to Wilson, North Carolina. Why there, you ask? This is where Liv spends the next 3 months as a camp counsellor at a Girl Scout summer camp. Liv had a few days off and spent them in Washington with Karen and I. Not a hot tub, more like a warm tub. Staying at The RV Resorts @ Carolina Crossroads. Very new, but very nice for $30 ...

... cannot complain. Some road signs that I saw along the leg of this trip..... "Let's meet for lunch! Yam right!" The bill boards are very entertaining. We had to stop in to this South of the Border Place. Could not imagine what kind of place would be able to afford so many billboards advertising their place. When we got there it an entire village of mexican amusement rides, eating places, rest rooms, souvenir shops etc. Too funny. We decided to try one ...

... there with her NC friends (who are lovely). After that was just a few errands before heading to Rocky Mount.

Sarah's cat Albus and I are now best friends. He is currently napping on my chest which is making the pain in my ankle much more bearable but typing much more difficult as he keeps affectionately butting my head with his.

The rest of my trip in NC passes uneventfully. I spent the day Wednesday in Sarah's, ahem, ...
