Other important artifacts include the microphone with which MacArthur announced his return to the Philippines, a pen he used to sign the Japanese surrender document, and, of course, his iconic hat, sunglasses, and corncob pipe.

Today's stop was Colonial Williamsburg. It was a step back in time to the 1770's where we could experience what it was like to live in this Revolutionary city. Our lunch stop was at Edenton, another pretty little historic town on a river where, being Sunday, everything was shut except for the general store where we had great salad rolls. Driving through North Carolina on our way we passed a ...

I woke up to the sound of heavy rain on the trailer this morning. By the time the sun was up, the rain had slowed to a drizzle, but it was still too wet to ride. I suited up in my rain gear and reflective vest, grabbed my walking sticks and headed out to explore the base a bit. I took a photo of my in my rain gear. It is lightweight, breathable, rain gear, but it is solid ...
