Today's weather: Fine, mild and sunny. Short sleeve weather (can tell we're heading north)
Our last day with the RAV4 today. So sad :( I didn't want to hand back the car keys. I really enjoyed driving this car over the last 2 weeks. I've always like the RAV4s and my experience over the last 2 weeks has just reconfirmed my …
... recover solemnly. This being so we made our way to the central shopping area. It is ingeniously made from cargo containers that have been painted bright colours, stacked on top of one another and had large wall areas replaced with glass. It felt like it should have been in London or Bristol, somewhere very fashionable / cosmopolitan. It was busy with shoppers and tourists and felt a very pleasant place to be. It was almost like the heart of the city had died but the pulse was kept ...
... centres we found a walk in service and a slightly hyper old lady took a razor to my hair and chopped a good couple of inches off. Luckily it was quite cheap as I was a bit scared of all the hacking she was doing! It turned out ok and it felt so nice to get rid of all the scraggy ends.
It’s amazing how much our legs ached after a day walking round the city. I really feel the need to do more exercise and it was good to be out all day ...

We had collected our baggage and were outside waiting by 11:45 pm when Denise and Jessica arrived to pick us up. They had parked the vehicles rather than just drive up to pick us up. It was great to see them at the airport. Denise drove Burkus, Miranda and Carter home and Jessica drove Susan and I home. We we home by 12:30 am. It felt good ...
... find a street lined with alternative bohemian style bars, restaurants and shops. This was more like it and we were excited to look around the flat. First Impressions were good, original wooden floorboards, a country style kitchen opening out onto a little courtyard garden and it was above a health food shop selling all different kinds of tofu! The room was nice and big, then we went into the lounge which they'd split with an old sarong behind which was a bed. That's ...
How has this motel rated in the past?
I choose this motel for tonight simply because it was the closest to the train station, and because it offered a free shuttle service to/from the train station. Given that today and tomorrow's activities were centered around riding the train, it seemed the perfect choice.
The motel itself provides very comfortable accommodation. Our rooms provided good space, the bathroom had a spa bath, and free wifi was provided. These things made this motel a top choice.
Plus, the hosts were really friendly, and were extremely helpful.
