... navigated. It was raining, but traffic not as heavy as anticipated. Down interstate 287 then south on the NJ Garden Route, before turning east along the shore to Highlands and a bridge over to the Sandy Hook peninsula. Mark had a drive north along the sand spit, into a disused military town at Fort Hancock. We had a wander around in light drizzle, exploring a mortar battery, before heading to ...

... Jersey they love to put No Turn on Red signs half a block before the intersection rather than next to the signal where you can see them as you might be contemplating such a turn. Being direction-savvy, I hedged and went left because that was south and I was, for the most part, headed south. I immediately found myself driving under a bridge. Like, in the movies. Only it wasn't a movie. There weren't even any lanes marked, you just drove between the pylons. ...

Today was anything but ordinary. We began with the smallest venue yet, meaning it had the smallest dock as well. It only allowed for one truck to unload at a time, and that one had to be unloaded by forklift because there was no trailer unloading depression. We didn't start the LED wall until after 1pm and I didn't get to my DL side screens until around 3pm.
Once we were loaded in, we did our typical sound checks and everything ...
