        ... out of town plans for the weekend so we explored Long Beach Island on our own. Rains kept us in the car most of the time but we managed a few geocaches and a nice lunch. Some areas along this drive had the most interesting architectural designed houses we've ever seen.

        We wake up and had decided it was time to move on from this weird caravan park/campground of a place. We are sick of the bugs at night, and sick of having to walk 500m to the toilet block every time. So we researched a new campground that was further North in New Jersey called "Allaire State Park".

        So we pack our things up and end up leaving around 10am. We head North towards Allaire State Park with no reservation, ...

        ... Walked down town for dinner at an unmemorable Italian restaurant before a stroll along the board walk and Pier amusments . Took the board walk chair lift back down towards our inn before trying to repack our entire luggage . All camping equipment except the pop up tent will be left with the Toms river scouts tomorrow on our way out so that should lighten the load some what though ...

        ... Store is open most of the year and the store keeper told us about the history of this village. Some of the buildings were open to look into but with gates up. In the summer interpreters dressed in clothing of that time walk around and answer any questions. There is a Visitor Center with exhibits and many programs offered throughout the summer.
