... stuck on top which had been drawn on with paper and pen. So after a quick demo from john we had to clamp our pieces in a vice grab a big file and get filling until all the excess has been taken off. Then we had to round the edges off all this took a little while to do. So I'll mention the significance of the carvings, there are lots of different stories but Maori tradition was you would have to earn these carvings by completing different challenges with your tribe we think. They don't ...
Christchurch, South Island, New Zealand gaz-lj... his support, as I often didn’t do any work but Tudor was supportive when ever I did actually try to work and assured me when I passed it would be worth it, I passed and it was.
So Thanks Tudor Jenkins, I am proud to have known you, I will never have your love of physics, Latin or music but I appreciate your passion.
As for me I have 13 days left in New Zealand…eek!.
I need a plan but for now its to sit back and enjoy my hotel living!
... Jacob and I bravely/stupidly (you choose...) pushed on. We walked for 40 mins in freezing sleet, our trousers sodden and our shoes filled with water (due to rain, let alone the rivers we had to traverse) - and yet Jacob was simply amazing. We got to the Terminal Face and incredibly, the weather got worse still, with the driving rain turning to sleet and hail. When we got back to the wamth of the campervan, Jacob, sodden and on the edge of hypothermia simply said it was ...

... us with a "$5 Dollar Bus" logo emblazoned along its side. The driver asks us if we want to go into the city centre, which we did, and when i ask him how much? he says "$7 each". With his $5 Dollar Bus" logo staring me right in the face I kindly refuse and smile to myself and think "I'm gonna like this place" After a very difficult bus journey (Traveling on crowded public transport with a large Rucksack and back pack is NOT fun) we finally made it to our hostel ...
Christchurch, South Island, New Zealand radiojohn... our intercession time, God put Revelation 22:1-6 on her heart. "Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. No longer will ...
Christchurch, South Island, New Zealand erincastillo... enough. Much to my disappointment I'd dipped out on the much-desired window seat. I had the aisle, but I figure that comes with mixed blessings. Later an older couple came to join me in the neighbouring two seats; they seemed to be frequent flyers and I suppose that comforted me (the guy even seemed to know the plane was relatively new, too...). The longest part of anything so far seemed to be the take-off. It was like an eternity! We taxied...taxied a bit ...
Christchurch, South Island, New Zealand krissy_ann... the most comfortable mattress I can remember in a long time. The night had been interspersed with lots of people coming in and out and apparent hotbedding (similar to hotdesking) as at least 8 people slept the night in our six bed dorm. Plus some of the loudest snoring for the girls who got in the latest. I'm sure I used to get in as late and as drunk but I sure as hell had a much more significant hangover than these people demonstrate. Anyhow, we really have to sort out our ...

We finished packing, had a much-deserved drink, and then enjoyed our top floor balcony views over the city. It was a beautiful day, boiling hot with bright blue skies. Perfect.
Katie did some clothes washing while I hared into town to buy Bex, her boyfriend Hutchy & Katie some quick Xmas presents!
An hour or so later Bex & Hutchy got to our apartment, and ...
