Heading back to our room we were walking through the casino on the way to our rooms and found Dave getting more money out of an ATM machine.     ... to the Tahoe Hard Rock Cafe, then hit a cool candy store. Tomorrow, maybe a quick zip up the mountain in a gondola...again, i'm still filling Jie in on my complex past and the fact that some **** might go down where i need to fight some metal mothed bad guy on the roof while we ride up, but i think she'll keep it together.     ... the top, another ridge lay ahead of me. I finally reached the top thinking the worst of my day was behind me. Boy was I wrong. The descent down the other side was gradual but it was a near 4 mile snow field. The noonday sun was peaking the temperature around 80*. We set out to be done with this mountain only to have our efforts thwarted. Nearly every two to three steps was a post hole up to the knee.     ... a week. Our favorite training exercise was our Tuesday night climbs up Heavenly. A good 2,000 feet elevation climb and back down. Earlier in the summer when the days were long enough, we would pack sandwiches for dinner on the mountain. Now we are forced to stop at the Blue Angel Cafe on our way home.
