    ... into 4 plastic cups (oh yes, we know how to party!) and swam in the afternoon sunshine with the beautiful pine trees towering over us. To wash down the remainder of the bubbles, we hit the warm indoor Jacuzzi.

    We knew both sets of bubbles were going to Carol's head when she commented how nice the jets were going up her bum...WOAH there Mrs Smith 1, time to sober up and get ready ...

    ... again going over some pretty high passes. It was a little scary but the road was good and in spite of the threats of chains it didn't happen. We did follow a snow plow for a while. When we got to Lee Vining there was about a foot of snow on the roofs of houses! We stopped for breakfast and the waitress said this was very unusual for May. By the time we ate it ...

    We summited and descended Glenn Pass. This descent was much more dangerous and steep than anything we have encountered yet. At least we had some previous experience at this point and knew how to handle things. We started up the next mountain to get an early run at the next pass in the morning.

    ... the main street buildings. It was freezing cold up there. I knew it was around 27-30 degrees up there, so I had backup layers that I had to throw on. The sun was beautiful, but there was a slight breeze that was killing me.

    Greg and Mark where up early to go fishing on a charter boat (38ft) in Lake Tahoe. They came home with a few fish but nothing of any size. Greg said if was like catching garfish.

    It was rather windy today too, so would have been a bit lumpy on the water.

    I slept in after waking early and reading for a couple of hours. Sorted some more photos.

    Did some shopping to replenish supplies before heading off ...
