        ... around) it is a stunner.

        It is at altitude so when we went for a walk Sunday morning you lost your breath very easily.

        We walked along the beach front and in the pines, then travelled by car to Emerald Bay for spectacular views.

        California is one place that I want to explore in fine detail. It is so different from the rest of the US, and I really, truly love it here.

I booked the cheapest smallest model they had available online and when we got there, it was not available, so they upgraded us for free and gave us a nice car that was valued at $69/day to rent and only had 2,000 miles on it.         ... opinion the most beautiful part of our country.
        I will be camping most of the time and staying in motels at least once a week. My experience has been that an average of fifty miles a day carrying forty pounds of gear is a good comfort level.
        As of this date it will be a solo unsupported ride but I'm hoping that I can find at least one other person to join ...

        ... many choices around Lake Tahoe. We've played several courses there before and loved them all. I shunned Edgewood because I didn't think Frankie would want to pay the higher fees. We splurged there once and had a great time. The Trent Jones design at Squaw Creek was atypical. Lots of blind shots and encroaching rough.
