    Suzi and I drove out past Apache Junction and followed Apache Trail to the Old Gold Mine and Ghost Town, enjoying the beautiful weather and bright sunshine.

    What a surprise - only a 15-20 minute drive north of all the restaurants, park models, shopping, and traffic, and here we are in a beautiful desert environment, surrounded by cacti and beautiful views everywhere we look! It feels NOTHING like the area we left behind - feels so remote!

    ... were dreaming about sleeping in! Ying called us about 9 am! To wish Phil Happy Birthday – which is not till March 16th! I was soooo groggy but we did get up and have breakfast.
