We spent the night in the RV at Cheaha State Park in Talladega Alabama.
We arrived early enough to take some pics as we headed up the mountain.
Poor RV had a tough time getting up some of the hills. I think we were down to about 15 MPH on a few of the steeper ones. What happens when we get out west :(

... salad for the group in one of the hotel's meeting rooms was met with resounding applause. It was another opportunity to get to know our fellow travellers and enjoy an early evening after an exciting day.

Not looking forward to returning to the snow we heard about this morning. Being in Alabama is like being in summer. The people are friendly and the countryside is beautiful.

... down all non essential federal services the park was closed. Instead Nath got to go for a paddle on the Nantahala River and we found some mountain bike trails nearby to enjoy. It was really beautiful all the way from Nantahala to Chatanooga with forest covered mountains and big rivers.
