    It didn't take us long to get to the camp site at Pensacola Beach. It's also called Santa Rosa Island and is attached by a massive road bridge. Lots of beach houses, hotels and restaurants on the way (just like Cayman) and then a road with white sands on either side. It's a National Park and also has an old Civil War Union Fort. The camp site was away from the beach and surprisingly crowded, only to find out that it is another holiday weekend for Columbus Day. We put up ...

    ... cool but the skies have cleared and it has warmed up somewhat. We crossed into Al about noon (EDT) and continued on down I-85 crossing over into the Central Time Zone, so we had noonish twice. No, we did not eat twice, in fact we really didn't eat until normal dinner time.

    It was a nice day drive. Even though we drove over 250 miles, we arrived early since we only stopped twice. Anyway, we arrived at the campground about 2:30 ...
