    • 6/22/15 Day one of our trip. We did not get off to a great start, but as Peg says about my surgeries, at least issues were fixable.

      It began with the dinette slide out not retracting. We pushed the button and it would come in a few inches and stop. I took part of our food staples out of the storage under the dinette bench and it would retract. But it would come in with a catch as it rose over the floor. Matt ...

    Out of a chance discussion with one of the hotel staff (thanks Carrie) about things to do in and around the area I learned of the Cross-Country skiing and snow-shoeing facility at the Chaplin Forest Reservation. As I have never tried either, off I went and had a great time - spent an hour getting use to Cross-Country skiing and then did an hour of Snow-Shoeing and enjoyed it too. Had I known earlier I would have gone several more times.

    In Ohio, and a few other states, they salt the roads during Winter to help keep them free of ice and snow. Unfortunately, it has a few less desirable side affects.     ... condition, but that it had the most desirable upgrade block in it - a 'blue' 455!! It seems in Buick land, that for the 455, the 1975 & 76 blocks were the most desirable and the 1970 through 74 heads were the most desirable (compression ratios dropped each year, so 1970 is the highest at 10.5:1 through to mine at 8.2:1).

    I had a really good time, and more to come on Saturday.
