    Today was very cold and very, very windy. The maximum Temperature expected was 12C but we didn't notice it above 10C with quite a wind chill factor. Mum wanted some photos of the falls on her iPad so Rick dropped her and I at the falls while he did a loop as there is only $15 parking available there.     ... really early start tomorrow. Onto the bus at 9am and down to our first sight which was the whirlpool. It's a gigantic right angle bend that the water of the falls slams into and then swirls around in before flowing out. Or guide said that due to the amount of water the direction of the whirlpool can change direction sometimes. Our second stop was Tablerock which is a look out right on top of the Horseshoe falls.     ... my pick. We stocked up on all kinds of meat for our barbecue too. We're set! Niagara Falls hasn't changed much in the past couple thousand years, only eroding about 12 feet since then. What has changed is the few high rise hotels have taken over from the outdated honeymooner motels. A bit sad really. Most of the motels are nearly empty and a bit (well ...... a lot) warn out. We were able to see the sights without too much trouble ...
