      In Coromandel Town haben wir in einem Motel eingecheckt, um Räumlichkeiten wie Bad und Küche zu nutzen, aber weiterhin im Van zu schlafen. Für gerade einmal 15$ die Nacht bietet das Motel sogar eine kleine Poolanlage und einen Whirlpool, den wir natürlich direkt am ersten Abend (Heiligabend) in Anspruch genommen haben. …

      ... and in a single axle bus it made for an interesting ride.

      Just before we got to Hahei we called at Hot Water Beach, named because of the hot springs that run just under the sand. At low tide you can dig holes and get 60 degree water, but we arrived at high tide so just enjoyed the beach and hot weather - it was mid twenties today and the sun down here is pretty intense. Lots of sun cream!

      Last week I moved into my wwoofer hut, it is really nice to have my own space and it feels very homely already. I kill, on average, one spider per day but they are the little whispy kind so I don't mind too much. Another reason I came to New Zealand is because they don't have man eating spiders like in Australia.
