... completely removed from 21st century society. Being Christmas time, or the "Holiday Season" as Americans call it, there were Christmas songs playing. However, we heard no such classics as "Jingle Bells" or "Deck The Halls", only religious-based music singing of Jesus Christ and Bethlehem.
Later in the afternoon, Jordan, Dad and I did the one wet ride that was open, the "Log Ride", and let's just say being at the front of the log means getting the wettest. ...
... care, we were just ready to go and had to be downstairs for our shuttle at 10am. Mitch rang and after waiting for a few minutes, we just thought, bugger it, we'll just do it ourselves!! So everyone did a great job of carrying backpacks, Halloween bags (yes they still have candy!!) and dragging suitcases along!! Good team effort guys!! We didn't pass anyone along the way coming to get our bags. But our shuttle guy was already at the street front waiting for us, so lucky ...
... a boat load of people quietly pass you by. It was a classy establishment not piratey at all! No drunken sailors to be seen.
The meal was delicious, possibly the best one we have had since being in the US. Good old Steak and Vegies! The steak was cooked to perfection. Blacky and I always share meals when we are out so it makes for a good portion size, otherwise they are way too big.

I end the day at the home of "Baywatch" Santa Monica Pier. The beach and promenade were featured in films such as "White Men Can't Jump" and many others.
