    A Day of Travel

A travel blog entry by tlgraetz on Aug 31, 2014

After four hundred miles and about seven hours of driving we landed in Mosinee, WI. This park is like no other we've camped in! Being Labor Day weekend the 400 site campground is packed; there is a DJ at the pavilion about 300 feet from us! kids on bikes everywhere, golf carts zipping around, lots of beers being consumed and did I mention, we are next to the main road and boat ...

    Last Night in the States

A travel blog entry by jakesnorri2014 on Jun 13, 2014

I am mostly writing this first entry to get the hang of this nifty little blogging contraption, but also as a way to focus my thoughts as I am coming to the realization that I am in fact leaving the country tomorrow. Oh geeze.

My procrastination could persist no longer and I had to stop avoiding the daunting task that is packing. My parents helping me also motivated me to ...

Mom is being surprisingly calm, except she made me bring two purses to be "safe" and modeled how to wear the unsafe purse correctly….. But I can't complain, I'd say ...

Pleasant Wisconsin roads. Stopped in town of Owen, had picnic as lots of bread, summer sausage and cheese in cooler.

Anna then drove -- didn't stop again until reached border -- where Mississippi and St Croix rivers join, so crossed Mississippi twice except the first was actually St Croix River. [At Prescott, Wisconsin and Hastings, Minnesota]

Very hot -- above 90 and humid. Had 2nd stop just across St Croix, possibly Lake Rebecca Park.

    Time with grandkids

Hi everyone, I have had two great days with my grandchildren, Matt, Alayna, and Michael. Yesterday we did a tie-dye project. Each one had two t-shirts to dye: one using the wet method and one using the dry method. It was unanimous that the wet method worked better. While they were doing their t-shirts, I was busy doing onesies for grandson, Tyler. They all turned out ...
