We decided to stay in Medora another night so that we could tour the Theodore Roosevelt National Park, which is a national park that we have never visited before. Pitched camp and finished off the three hot dogs left from Wisconsin, in one bun plus toasted two tortillas, all on a few briquets. No ground fires here: severe fire warning and too crowded anyway. Finished meal by lanternlight and then ready for bed.

We're driving from South Dakota to North Dakota today to go to Theodore Roosevelt National Park. The road we took goes straight as an arrow up the western side of these two states. The scenery quickly went from farms to open range and there is nothing out there. We did see a few cattle and sheep, but mostly it was great wide vistas of prairie.
