The last day! We got up around 8:00 again, ate, took down the tent, etc. We stopped at the camp office to get ice before heading out. It was a very nice campground, we would stay there again. We left the campground around 10:30 for the last leg of our trip. We stopped in Des Moines at a Sonic to get food for the kids, Greg and I wanted to wait to get Fazoli's. Unfortunately we missed the exit for the Fazoli's, so unless we want to go home through Rochester, we won't ...

... But as we got closer to Lincoln, it was slowing down. We had to stop for gas just outside of Lincoln. We decided to try a campground not too far from there, Pawnee State Rec. Area. It was just before 10:00, but the office was already closed, so we drove around and found a site. We set up the tent, in the dark, and got the beds all set up. We got ready for bed and started trying to go to sleep around 11:00. No rain, for ...

At first the boys did not want to kiss the fish at all, but Brian told the boys if they wanted to fish had to kiss the fish and set them free. So the boys followed suit. After the fish stopped biting the boys went on a boat ride with Uncle Brian. Brian was a happy man to have companions to go out on the boat with. He loves his pontoon and being out on the lake. The boys were able to ...

... he needed a break, so we pulled over for a minute rest. This turned into the kids need a snack, drink some water and Artie has to pee. No bathroom around, so Art had him go into the trees and take care of business. This is how you start to lose time. All right back on the trail! I can’t remember exactly when Liam decided that he was going to start terrorizing baby girl (maybe between the 1st and 2nd stop or 2nd and 3rd ...

... at Auntie Diane's the boys FINALLY fell asleep! Marina continued to fight the urge to fall asleep.

Poor Auntie Diane, she was anxiously awaiting our arrival, thinking we were going to be at her house by 4:30 pm. Well, we finally arrived at 9:00 pm, and our gracious host had brats, hots dogs, and cold adult beverages waiting for us!

{Art} Shannon and the kids went to bed early, and I stayed up a little later chatting ...
