SLO (as the locals abbreviate it) was also just ten miles short of us reaching the Pacific Ocean something we had set out to see four weeks previous when we left Atlantic Beach near Jacksonville, Florida. If we had driven in a fairly straight line to Avila Beach, without stops, ...

It was fascinating to watch all the cars, trucks, trailers either park on the beach for a picnic or just cruise along the shore line. This is obviously something one just has to do. Looked like great fun, but did not think it would be a good idea to take the Mustang on to the sands!!! There were also some horses galloping along the waters edge, just amazing.
