... last visit to Australia, they stayed in Manly then travelled to Melbourne and Kangaroo Island, one of Hayley's favourite places. Rick kindly chalked-up a couple of Bud Lite's for me on his bill before he left to set up his boat for a 4 day fund raising trip.
I then had a long chat with Peter(apologies - if I have the incorrect name) who had been a lawyer representing contractors who had been subject ...

In San Francisco, we stayed with my Mum's friend named Ethel . Ethel is 92 years old but she is very active. She has a cool house and we slept in the attic. So I guess nothing’s changed, except there’s a Ben and Jerry’s icecream shop now. There were some cool houses in the next couple of streets across, though.

... We had hot juicy pizza slices in a cafe and did a little clothes shopping in the sales - our clothes are on their last legs. Cable car back home.
    Everything going really well….

Rob and I had a blissful evening planned - he’d seen one of our favourite bands - the Hot club of Cowtown, a jazz western swing band - was playing in a little bar in Chinatown.
    We got tickets.
The girls were staying in watching a movie.
    We got ready to ...
