Short story today, we drove most of the day from thousand oaks to salinas on the US 101 north and in the evening we went to the northridge mall for some heavy shopping.
Today we went on the Giant Dipper at Santa Cruz boardwalk. It's a wooden roller coaster like our Big Dipper except it's a little taller and reaches 55mph instead of 40mph. Wooden roller coasters are the best kind and this one is very good. It's a year younger than the Big Dipper and was built in 1924.

Hi All Hollywood yesterday was brilliant! Had a big travel day today-9 hours of driving in total! Stopped along the way just to take snaps of what was some of the best scenery I have ever seen along the Pacific Highway. We took Route 101 then Route 1 along the coast. We also popped in to Pebble Beach Golf Club for a nose. Stopping off in a place called Salinas tonight (where John Steinbeck is from!) then will be in San Fran by tomorrow late morning. Bring it ...
