          Day 61

This time I looked at a map and picked some locations on CA-1, the Pacific Coast Highway and punched them into the GPS to ensure that I went directly to the coast.

That worked - and had a great ride along the coast today.

Stopped at a viewpoint for sea lions. There were several quite close to shore and I got ...

          ... etiquette I suppose.

We arrived into Coral Bay mid-afternoon and had enough time to go for a snorkel once we had checked into our caravan park. Coral Bay is the reason you come to Western Australia. It's a tiny town at the end of a road off Highway 1 with stunning beaches, peaceful and welcoming. We spent 4 nights in Coral Bay enjoying fantastic snorkelling, walks along stunning beaches, cooking on the beach and other relaxing activities. We had driven a long way and ...

... New Zealand - it turns out that she had lived in Wellington NZ for about 3 months !!

You'd think that with a name such as "Carmel" that there would be sweets shop that specialised in Caramel .. but no - if there was, I couldn't find it but then again I wasn't really looking for a sweet shop !!

The time past quickly and we were back on the bus bound for San Francisco. On the drive back, ...

Quiet and busy the last few days.

Sunday, we went to dinner with Sayo and Mel and tried a local hamburger joint, Archie's Diner. Juicy, juicy, juicy great hamburgers!

Monday, Mel and Sayo were heading to Salinas to run some errands, and asked if we wanted to tag along. Dick remembered that the Steinbeck Museum is in Salinas, and asked if they could drop us off there. What a find! For anyone interested ...
