My Journey to South Africa

... in San Francisco seems to go on for miles and miles. I arrive about 9:30 a.m.
I forgot how much walking there is in an airport. I pick up my luggage and walked and walked

Big day today. And I mean B-I-G.

We had arrived at our campground in Kingsburg, CA, yesterday (Thursday) afternoon. It was only a one hour drive from the Cummins repair shop. I can tell you, I'm quite proud of my hubby. The breakdown didn't crack him. The 8 hours by the side of the road didn't crack him. The over night stay at the repair shop didn't ...

... after another 30mins of walking we realised we were running out of time if we wanted to see the giant Sequoia trees before it got dark so we turned around. It was at that point on a rock ahead of us I saw a lion in a crouched down position (head on its paws, bottom in the air) ready to pounce. I told Thomas to stand still and he straight away saw why. After what felt like 10mins (it was actually 10secs) the lion lifted its head up and ...
