... that used to be hotels etc. back in the 1800's. There we also found the oldest fire station in Los Angeles near by. After the walking tour finished we went to Griffiths Observatory which is on top of the hills surrounding LA. It is free to the public and gives you a great view of LA and the famous Hollywood sign. Big day today. And I mean B-I-G.

We had arrived at our campground in Kingsburg, CA, yesterday (Thursday) afternoon. It was only a one hour drive from the Cummins repair shop. I can tell you, I'm quite proud of my hubby. The breakdown didn't crack him. The 8 hours by the side of the road didn't crack him. The over night stay at the repair shop didn't ...

... ears and ultimately that it was in fact a deer.

On our way out of Yosemite we stopped off to look at the Marisopa Grove which contains about 500 giant Sequoias (Californian Redwood trees to you and me). They are apparently one of the largest things living on Earth. We hiked to the Grizzly Giant, one of the oldest and largest trees in the world, and California Tunnel Tree, cut in 1895 to allow coaches to pass through it. We ...
