Today we got up at 4.30am, to find a few inches of unforcasted snow in Swindon. Another adventure.... After we got ourselves dressed, we bundled the girls into the car wrapped in their blankets, and crawled down the road to the bus station. In true Grandma style, we were about 45 minutes early so got to sit in the car watching the early morning goings on at Swindon bus station. Woo ...

      ... for "fakeoff"

The seven hour flight is relatively uneventful other than Rob Roy can't wait for the beach making her rounds with elbows high and fake smiles firing off volleys of turkey buns to appease the restless. They did compliment the two hundred plus with a free beverage, dinner and a roll. We arrive in Lima after an eighteen hour grunt from Calgary at 1:15am. Changes I made

Yesterday, I tried to fix my stay at a guest ranch in the Texas Hill Country. However, the ranch of my choice is closed for a week due to a family wedding. I have checked for alternatives, but I either do not like the ranch or it is way too expensive. Therefore, I will jump on a horse in New Mexico or Arizona. Naturewise I will like those states better anyways.
So, this forenoon I will hop in a bus to San Antonio. Jan 29th in the evening, I will fly to El Paso.

My most unique experience was being on a plane for so long, I had never traveled somewhere, where the flight was more than about three hours.

In this country, I like the fact that it is home and it is the land of opportunities.

... and what would make him feel better. I smiled kindly at him and told him not to worry. Then I opened my boarding pass so that he could see, said "One day you'll get one of these too", turned and ran down to make my flight. ...oh if only anything that dramatic were true. Fact is, as I ran wheezing to make my second of three flights, I passed a smug-looking well-dressed guy who was standing in line to board his direct flight to Los Angeles and I barely had time to hate him at the ...
