... pulled over and I got behind the wheel and drove for the next 100 miles or so.

We arrived at the campground about 2 pm and got set up. Once again we decided not to unhook the car. It is really warm and there is a heat advisory in effect here, so we will stay in with the AC going, plus I have one more load of laundry to wash. However, we decided to go for an early dinner and since we are basically in Sikeston, MO you can guess where we went! That's ...

Ah well, we have hit the south!

... Detroit. There was so much construction we couldn't really get to the arch or back on the freeway...needless to say, been there done that, don't need to do it again. Pulled into Sikeston at 5pm. That's 730 miles road time. We got to meet the old smoky man who ran the campground and played harmonica with his singing dog. It's little nuggets like this that really put the color in our trips. Night johnboy. Ciao for now! Jill and all her ...

... worn my mud boots because the sky was black and the wind was picking up. 5 minutes later, as gates were about to open, the skies opened instead and Elisa and I opted to let everyone into the tent to get out of the storm. As quickly as it started, the black clouds moved away and we were all soaked but happy to see sunshine again.

The crowds were SO much fun today…very appreciative and supportive of the performances which is always so wonderful to hear and ...
