... at a retirement home. It just didn't have the same effect as it would if the building was still standing. I took plenty of photos but sadly didn't catch a ghost at any of the locations.
All in all not a bad tour in a very comfy bus. I can't wait for my next tour with them which is all about Al Capone, prohibition etc. and covers all the good gritty stuff. Not a very exciting day but a great night!
Today was the start of my two week expedition in US. After weeks of working, I finally had a chance to take a break, relax myself and replenish mentally and emotionally. ... salad was ridiculous, actually took me 90 minutes to eat it! Only problem was Tom devouring the cocktail menu while I did. The waiter bought us a free piece of key lime pie, a tenth of the normal serving size, which again was huge! The portions we saw being delivered were so big you must have to order everything with the intention of sharing. we used our money from Caroline and Alan for dinner and our wine and cocktails. thank you! We were invited out with the waiter ...
And to think, it all started so well...
I was packed and ready the night before departure. My bags were all under the weight limits, and that NEVER happens. We left early, but there was NO traffic on the M5 - which also never happens.
Checked in with ease, found a comfortable place to wait for my flight. I even found a seat with a power point next to it!
