... the lobby, motorcycle parked under security camera out front. Went to the gourmet grocery store next door. Had crusty bread, crab salad, and a huge can of Foster's beer for dinner. Nice hot shower, and I am a new woman.

475 miles today, easy miles.

Onward to mi casa tomorrow, hopefully. I haven't checked the weather forecast yet - still working on that can of Foster's!

We finished our last locks of the trip! Yahoo!
We stayed at the Troy public docks and walked the city area. It was hopping with many people beginning their weekend celebrations and lots of outdoor restaurants were full of diners enjoying the warm summer night.

... But, we survived!

Got to very picturesque Bennington, VT at about 1545 hours. Sunny and nice out. Beautiful day all around. Had about 2 seconds worth of sprinkles near Rochester, NY, but that was it!

Off to Ramunto's Pizza and Pub for an early dinner, since we did not stop for lunch.

547 miles for me today, on about 2 hours of sleep. Road weary for sure!

I know some people are worried about this part of my trip, but I'm from Coventry, it's fine ;) No idea if I will have wifi there, so will update when I can. I'm still sad to have missed the school production and the prom, but I'm learning so it's ok. Also only 4 sleeps until the much beloved meets me in NYC, so that's exciting ...

... driver and yup, it was Chris!!

Got to camp, set up and headed into Bennington to see the old covered bridges. Walked through one and it was like walking on cement. The floor is 2X4's packed together on their sides. I was amazed at how strong they were. Stopped in at a Potter Barn so see how the pottery was made. From there we went to the Sugar Bush to sample the maple syrup. By the time we got there ...
