    ... ate at the Outback restaurant next door.  We visited with a nice young gentleman who was our waiter. Our room was on the 3rd floor and very quiet.. a nice start to our vacation. September 17, 2014 (Wednesday) We left Amarillo at 8:23 am and weather was pleasant.     ... not really all that helpful, although her hairdo was quite interesting. I doubt she had ever been hiking before. On the Yellow Rock trail there were beautiful vistas, not from the official overlook (where the CCC structure is) but from the large rock overlooks. Lunch of leftovers back at the cabin.     Up very early for flight from Jackson to DFW then home. Girls are getting dropped off in St Louis at their Dad's then Charley is home to Dublin. Hopefully their travel will be ok.     ... really great news: WE ENTERED A NEW STATE! I write this blog post to you from Oklahoma. I know absolutely nothing about this state other than I'm in it. Technically we crossed two state lines. We were in Missouri for a bit and then went back into Oklahoma, I'm not really sure of the logistics and how that all worked out, but we're here and all is good.
