Peeling, flaking, rundown. It's 2 star at best but more likely one star. The front desk girl was very friendly and helpful though

After a successful trip to Walmart in Gillette leaving with a Keurig ( tired of instant coffee) and an otter box for my IPad ( tired of carrying it around in my hand) we headed west on to Sheridan. ...

Beartooth Highway

... at all of note. We arrived at the motel around 4ish. I instantly feared for my life again, I don’t know if I’ve been trained by TV/Film to be concerned by these places or if I genuinely feel like one of these people driving monster trucks, smoking a fag and sat in a deckchair from 1950 is going to kill me, probably a bit of both.

The room is just like the ones you see in Motels in films, relatively clean, large and sort of homely but the décor ...

The tower is popular with mountain climbers. We saw several who were ascending to the top. Got Kathy a book and quilt kit along with the obligatory t-shirt.

Kathy really enjoyed it. She was surprised how spectacular it ...

Bits and spurs

A travel blog entry by bronkemabekker on Jun 20, 2012

Our next stop was Tom Baulding's Bits and Spurs for a factory tour. It is a custom bit and spur making shop. Yes, there really were bits for sale that cost $468 and spurs with silver and gold ornamentation. The Bits and Spur factory is going to be on "How it is made" on the discovery channel tonight. We got our own private tour with the owner. We ...

... up at the Little Bighorn Battlefield.....

I really wasn't sure what to expect on this one....but I have to say I ended up spending a lot of time there. If you are into history at all.....this is a very historical site. The way it is laid out is well done. I learned a bit more of the story too. The grave markers are strewn out in the fields for quite a distance both US 7th Calvary men and Indian markers. There is also a monument to the ...
