    ... Museum at the top of the city so I decided to go there. It was a long walk and as I moved further and further away from the centre and closer and closer to the coast the cityscape began to change... everything started to look brighter and more inviting. So maybe San Francisco isn't that bad after all, maybe I should give it a chance. The area that the museum was in was called Presidio and seemed to be some sort of former military base.     ... asked a lady at the theatre for dining suggestions and she suggested Sam's diner on the next block and it was quite good.

    The show was great with some powerful voices and basically was about berry Gordy and how he started Motown. The lady playing Diana Ross actually sounded like her. Afterwards we decided to walk home along the outskirts of Tenderloins and got home without incident. Our hotel is actually on the outskirts of Tenderloins which makes it a bit better.

    ... The Huepfels left for Walnut Creek to have dinner with Amanda's parents. The rest of us took the cable car back to the wharf (we had tickets left from our aborted trip the day before). We went to the Chowder Hut and sat outside and had diet coke and cocktails. We decided it would be cheaper and easier to take a cab for the return trip.     ... is not as nice as Melbourne either but I was too nervous to really give a ****, customs scars the beegebies out of me, all the workers are so serious!! I didn't have long to wait in Sydney but the time I got through customs which was alright.
