The city by the bay

We grabbed a 'Reuben' for lunch (pastrami, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese and thousand island dressing on rye bread) and headed down to the San Francisco ferry wharfs for a look including a view of the Bay Bridge. ... very good with an excellent audio tour. This prison really was a living hell and no words of mine can adequately describe the interior of this grim horrid place. The good news is that it was built very cheaply using reinforced concrete which the salt air totally destroyed by 1963 when the prison was abandoned.
We now face the difficult choice of choosing which Italian restaurant to visit tonight.
