As soon as I got out of my car I noticed how clean and well maintained the place was. I went to my room and it was also clean and well maintained. I tried to get online and the Internet didn't work. I went to the office and complained. They said they'd let me know when the person arrived who knew what to do. They never contacted me but the Internet eventually started working. Unfortunately, it was still pretty slow. The room had a refrigerator and a microwave.

So the last couple of days have been a bit hectic so not really had time to sort out photos and blog posts.

Tuesday we woke up in Rapid City and decided to move east to Wall. Wall has a famous tourist trap (advertised for about 50 miles along the Highway) which started up around a Drugstore. It's lots of shops of touristy tat :) Great to waste some time in anyway.

After a stop in wall a cell fired up to the south so we raced to get to it, it ...

... could really put a dampener on things. Probably snored.

Stayed in North Platte and went to Whiskey Creek for Dinner. Steak and plain salad the order of the day. I wasn't going to drink, but the mini sherbert Margaritas were calling to me (as they do) so I chased them with a long iced tea (not a Long island...).

Quiet room, Lovely big bed, 5 pillows (contemplated building a pillow fort to entertain myself) and a massive 7 hours sleep! Only woke up once to put the ...

i had a great time in Colorado Springs. Some good down time and a kitchen fix making dinner one night. Nothing fancy - just left overs stuffed in crepes. We went to Hillside Gardens for concert night. Good sounds and atmosphere but I do not recommend the food. Took off for Cheyenne this morning. I was going to see ...

... Trading Post is free, unless of course, you buy something. But inside the small museum, ( and gift shop ) there are many authentic artifacts of the time period, including exhibits showing some of the Native American lifestyle.

One incredible display is the Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show in miniature.

There is such craftsmanship and ...

          Moab UT to North Platte

Got on the road Sunday morning with the intent of hitting Denver Sunday afternoon. This would have been a relaxing 367 mile jaunt from Moab. But decided to push on into Nebraska in case I decided to make a run for home on Monday. I have a business meeting Tuesday noon and a Common Council meeting Tuesday night that I'd like to make if I could. The ride from Moab to Denver was one of the prettiest looking and most enjoyable rides I've ...
