Last night we took a chance to see if we would be able to view the fireworks from our hotel room. Luck was with us and we had a bird's eye view of the vivid display. The fireworks were breathtaking over the side of the falls. It was the perfect ending of a wonderful day.

This morning we woke to partial sunny skies. It was a bit cooler and of course we dressed like it was in the 100's. Yesterday we overdressed and we were ...

... dry off before the next part of the tour - journey behind the falls which is exactly that. The best part is walking out alongside the falls but again your quickly in for a soaking. The last part is Niagaras fury which is a 4D movie type ride which explains how the falls were created. As this creation involves water you get sprayed every couple of seconds! Once we left the boat, we walked up the Main street towards the backpackers. It was a full on circus!! Picture Movie world, Dream world, wonderland and a bunch of county carnivals .... then stack them on top of each other and cram them all onto a street. That was the main area of Niagara. There were people EVERYWHERE!! ...

... to the recommended limits, and using every ounce of will power I possess not to scratch them. It stopped me from feeling the least bit guilty for giving them a bad review on Booking.com when asked to submit one, that's for sure! So by the time I'd hauled two bags across town (and cursed myself for bringing so much clothing), put it through the dryer on high, then washed it, then dried it all again, the best part of the day had gone. After taking it all back to the inn ...

... Tunnels done it was off to Near the Falls, a viewing platform located right next to the falls....wowee...the old Nikon got copped a hammering, it was an amazing show by mother nature. Last up was the Maid of the Mist boat tour to the foot of the falls. We pushed our way to a good vantage point on the side of the boat. Our journey commenced, passing the American falls, they're the poorer cousin to the Canadian horseshoe ...
