... we had a tolerable 4 hour drive to Lake Havasu and easily reached our camp by mid-day. This was my first visit to Havasu and I was impressed. This lake is huge! We stayed at Lake Havasu State Park which is on the Arizona side of California’s water (old joke, lots of tension on this subject). It was 106 degrees when we set camp and not a shred of shade except the RV awning. The campground was partially full, but we expected it to fill to capacity for the ...
