Cindy and I took Friday off in order to get an early start towards Lake Havasu. We finished chores around the house and pulled out a little before noon. The pull was an easy 3 hours, and we arrived in Lake Havasu around 4PM Arizona time. We unhitched in our spot (32 in Lake Havasu State Park, an awesome space!).  Monti and Janet arrived soon thereafter, and we watched the sun set while visiting and waiting for ...

Day 263 - Today was the first day of a three day Balloon Festival - this is the 4th year for this event, and apparently it has grown quickly to what we saw over the three days. There were upwards of 60 balloons in the air. We arrived the night before and the winds were pretty strong and we were afraid they wouldn't go up, but up they went the next day and for all three days they had morning and late afternoon launches over the Lake and then what they call an "evening glow" ...

Sunday we were up and out by 9:30 to visit the local swap meet. We bought sunglasses and a few small things. Steve and India led a tour of wonderful and unusual houses they know of in the city. We saw previous residences and prospective properties. Later we all went downtown for a car show. George was asked to display one of his nearly perfect cars to represent the City of Lake Havasu City for the event. We first visited a friend ...
