... back to the zoo to see if we could get any Rosie souvenirs and spent an extraordinary amount of time getting lost. So many road works and diversions it was baffling! We couldn’t really make a decision about where to head next either – Cleveland or Chicago? In the end we ran out of time and headed in the general direction between the two and to a campsite near Lafyette which was listed as a free site but wasn’t when we got there. We did book a viewing of ...

After we left Lindsborg, we went in search of the Castle Rock Badlands and Monument Rocks.
Unfortunately, I couldn't find my original directions so I hastily googled them from my smart phone. Even more unfortunate, the directions didn't get us to where we wanted to go. Instead, we ended up on a very lonely long dirt road out in the middle of NO WHERE. The road we were looking for was ...

We got up bright and early Saturday morning to continue our westward travels. We were excited to see that not only was our car where we left it (right out side our room window), but all of our things were still in the car!

Plans today included stopping in Lindsborg, a small town in McPherson County known for its Swedish heritage and the biennial Svensk Hyllningsfest. We decided to check out Lindsborg to hunt their herd of wild ...
