    ... yet another metal detector. Phones that had been missed through the first security checkpoint are confiscated. And yet, as we observe inside, still more phones slip through as people sneak selfies.
    Up the stairs and onto the bleachers, we are directed to standard banquet chairs. Not going to be comfortable for the next three to four hours... sigh.

    ... another 6 hours across to LAX which flew by watching movies and eating lunch.

    Caught our pre-arranged transport to our Santa Monica Hotel, The Ambrose, a cute boutique hotel which would top all previous hotels we stayed in.
