    ... had set up huge speakers so that when the runners reached the race track, we heard the sounds of an announcer from a past Derby! Super cool!

    Once I finished the race (and yes, it poured rain the entire time), we went for lunch. All in all, a great weekend and a fun race. I'm such a lucky girl to have my coach (Richard) with me for my 8th half marathon. I still can't believe that he's never missed one of my races (7 Marathons and 8 Halfs).

    Since neither of us felt like an enormous breakfast, I checked Yelp (my favorite app for discovering good local restaurants no matter where I travel) and found a little bagel and coffee shop a half mile or so away from our hotel.     ... Next stop was the Jim Beam Stillhouse. The whole areas smells like bourbon even before you drive on the property. We did a self guided tour and then we got some samples through an automated dispensing machine. You get a credit card that has 2 tastes each and then the machine dispenses the bourbon.
